Every time I place eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eye I always tear. Regardless if I placed product near the tear duct or not It gets really irritating especially if the color is metallic. Ive experimented with different textures and brands but still have this problem. I regularly clean my brushes so I'm covered there. Has anyone had the same problem?

Have you tried sanitizing your eyeliner? Buy a brand new one and see if that helps. Make sure your eyes aren't already irritated for a different reason. Could it be related to allergies?

Make sure your eyeshadows are sanitary and your brush is clean. Use a sanitary cream base in the area around the tear duct and pat the color on top of it to prevent transfer and shifting into the tear duct. It could very well help.
thanks ladies for sharing and for your advice as well. Im giving up Metallic colors for now because even with a creamy base I find it very irritating. My temporary fix is matte shadows and even then I have found that I have to be selective because I still get irritated. Ive switched brush shampoo brands to baby soap so ill see if that helps. I also plan on switching how I sanatize my eyeshadows. LETS SEE IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
