I love Cinema Secrets cream foundation, its really good for sensitive skin, works with all skin types, and it looks amazing! A great plus is, you can get them in palettes, and use lighter ones to conceal and highlight, and the darker to contour. Then just cover with translucent powder. use it on all my clients.
Loreal Magic Mouse Souffle!! It is the best! I bought it like a month ago and im loving it! AMAZING COVERAGE!! Looks like your skin is airbrushed on! I use it in my newest video: http://www.youtube.com/jaclynsmynam...
<<Hey, I wanted to know which foundations work well and are not horrible for your skin.>>
This is a very subjective question that will yield only very subjective answers. Just because the foundations the other commenters listed work well for them does not mean they'll work for you.
That said, I have a few more questions...
* What kind of coverage do you prefer or want (sheer, medium, full)?
* What kind of finish do you prefer or want (natural, satin, dewy, matte)?
* Do you have any skin issues you want to try to conceal (hyperpigmentation, redness, acne scars, that sort of thing)?
* According to your profile, you have fair-medium skin. Are you more tan in the summer months and more fair in the winter? (If so, you may want to consider buying two shades of the foundation to mix in the interim.)
Almay Clear Complexion Blemish Heal Technology foundation and powder are great together. they work together to clear acne and they are great for dry skin.
I just purchased the new DiorSkin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Make up! I love itttttttt, it covers so nicely with using so little. It's around 50 dollars but well worth it I think. I have quite oily skin and I found that using foundations would always run off during the day. I was out all day long and it didn't even move and my skin didn't look oily!!! Amazing stuff, I would definitely recommend trying it out :)
For right now I'm looking for a cheaper easy fix. But i do plan to invest into a better brand foundation, at some point soon. I don't really have oily or dry skin. Thanks for all the input :)
Hey Heather—what's your budget? Koh Gen Do's Aqua foundation is all kinds of amazing, but it's a bit on the pricier side. I also love MAC Face & Body foundation for summer.
Please say you'll try MAC Matchmaster !!!! It is amazing. I have a Bone Ivory from Laura Mercier for lighter skin tones and a Matchmaster from MAC in my skin tone, would you belive that I mix the two in equal parts to create a shade for everyone of my clients? It really works and I love the coverage !
One of my favorite foundations is Neutrogena Healthy skin because it's very moisturizing if you have dry skin like I do. It oxidizes really nicely on the skin without changing the color. It lasts all day when I wear it and it doesn't make me break out. It's not that expensive either. I would say it's one of the best Drugstore liquid foundations however if you have oily skin it might be too dewy for you.
Any preference in the type? (liquid, powder, cream, etc?)
I like mark. Powder Buff Natural Foundation (http://arioja.mymarkstore.com)
It has buildable coverage. The powder is light. It's oil free and gives a beautiful flawless matte finish.
For Liquid, I like Revlon Colorstay or Benefit Hello Flawless Oxgen Wow Foundation
For Cream/Cream to Powder I like MAC Studio Fix Cream to Powder or Mark. Min-A-Real foundation.
I absolutely love Revlon Colorstay foundation. I've never had any issues with breaking out with it or any thing, and I have oily skin so I love that they have different formulations for skin type. As far as drugstore foundations go, this is my favorite!
I just did a vid on how to make your own foundation i tried it and it was amazing!!!! But for high end i really LOVE Lancome's ultra 24 hour..for drugstore I like Revlon colorstay ,NYX HD is good too I also like Maybellines foundations :
