GVP from Sallys so far..
But I really want to try the Bio Ionic One Pass straightner, but think the company stopped selling it so I got to purchase it from Amazon. Supposedly is supposed to cut straightening time in half and make hair silky and shiny.
As of 10 years working as a hairdresser and having lots of clients with very thick and frizzy hair, can recommend you only 2 the best ones;"CHI" and "coppola" flat iron
Babyliss pro titanium. absolutely the best. especially if u have curly hair and want it to be straight, mines lasts for days and just by passing it once its stick straight and beautiful. if u use it alot ur hair actually starts becoming straight.
I'm currently using a couple of Revlon straighteners (the ones with titanium plates -- a 1" iron and a 1.5" iron). They do hold heat well, but I don't end up with stick-straight hair, nor can I really curl with them if I want to. :( So I'm going to be upgrading in the future to a Herstyler flat iron with titanium floating plates.
That said, though, if money were no object, I'd get a Cloud Nine (from the creators of the original GHD irons).
I've had my Solia for years, and I love it! It heats up pretty fast, and I can curl or straighten my hair without a hitch. My hair is impossible to style without it.
My favorite drugstore Flat iron is my Remington T|Studio Pearl Ceramic 1" Slim Straightener I LOVE it! You can get it at target and It heats up super fast and is really easy to use and is a really nice price! But if your willing to spend more money get the GHD classic 1 in. Styler! This is the best flat iron I have ever used! It heats up really quickly and is really good for curling too! It may seem really expensive but it lasts forever and works amazing! I got mine at sephora.
I am a hairstylist I will never use a chi again. they arent made like they used to. I love my usmooth. they will heat smooth your hair while straighten it. for a cheap one babyliss pro are good and you find them at Marshall and tjmax sometimes

Love the Babyliss flat irons and I also love the Paul Mitchell ones.
I think I'm the only one in the world who doesn't like Chi! My hair hates to straighten, and I feel like Chi takes twice as long to get job done.
