I want to expand my makeup collection as well as try more drugstore producs
But i have no idea on what to buy, let me know ur suggestions :)

Well, what kind of things do you like in general? I don't care for many drugstore products, but for the higher end~ route, I'm really liking MUFE Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks lately. I got a little sample of #36 and it looks wonderful. I'm wearing it on my default photo.

Just about anything im trying to buy more eyshadows, blushes, lipsticks and lip gloss
Amost all of my makeup is hi-end so i want to try some drugstore items that actually work as well. Oh and that lipsticks looks beautiful on you.

Thank you. ;D

And okay, I'm a liar. I just looked through my stash and find a few things. I know you didn't mention face powder, but Palladio's Rice Powder in Translucent is bloody fantastic. It's only 5$ if you've got a Sally's lying around. I know Ulta has it too, but I'm not sure what Ulta's price is. For lipsticks, I do like one ELF lipstick (insert gasp here) and that'd be the mineral lipstick in Barely Bitten (worn here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-Q6g2PHXEY) aaaand.......... well, what was the other one I was about to tell you? Ha, oh yeah! Jordana Best Lash Extreme whatever the heck. 3$ at Walgreens. Maybe Kmart since I know Kmart sells Jordana.

Man, makeup companies supporting animal testing and Internet censorship really made me into a higher end hoarder, lol! I would have suggested the Wet n' Wild Vanity palette, but that's been discontinued. Milani also had these awesome glosses, but that was limited edition. http://princess-shabie-whabie.blogspot.com/2010/04/swatches-of-milani-creme-brulip-color.html

... And at this point, I'm not helping just telling you about limited edition stuff, lol!

(You'll have to forgive me. I'm suddenly a little bit hyper.)

But in general, I think if you've got an Ulta/Sally's, Palladio is something to look at.

Lol its ok, ive never really tryed jordana i usually just stick to my maybelline falsies mascara but i might just give it a try. And i know thats why i dont usually buy drugstore i think elf is cruelty free, but even some hi end brands do animal testing im not completly sure but i heard estee lauder does it.

the maybelline tattoo eyeshadows are awesome, you can do pretty much anything wearing it & itll still ne there for hours. Ive also been hearing good things about the maybelline bouncy blush. i havent tried it myself but im definitely going to, ive seen the shades and theyre all really pretty :)

ELF is against animal testing, yes. And Maybelline tests. And yes, not all higher end brands are against animal testing, so I don't buy Lancome, Estee Lauder/MAC. Just a quick Google search helps you out. I'm pretty sure 3$ is cheaper than a Maybelline mascara, so you can't really go wrong. :P And if it sucks, well, Walgreens will accept a return!

The only reason Estee Lauder et al took up testing again (previously, as far as I know, they did not) is so their products can be sold in China (their government requires animal testing for cosmetics products to be sold). This is also why some other companies do this. However, there are a couple of companies (Avon and L'Occitaine, I think?) that are trying to work with the Chinese government to eliminate the requirement.

Meanwhile, think about this: *Every* ingredient in makeup has been tested on animals at some point over the years. Some ingredients are animal by-products (carmine, a red pigment used in lipsticks, comes from beeswax, for example).

Another thing to consider: how far do you go with it? Do you boycott brands that don't test even if they're owned by a larger company that does? Do you restrict yourself further and buy solely from brands that don't source ingredients from manufacturers that test (if that makes sense)? Also, by boycotting, you can end up missing out on great products.

IMO, the only surefire way to go cruelty-free would be not to wear makeup.

That said, NYX is another "cruelty-free" brand that's inexpensive and has some fantastic products. I like their HD eyeshadow base and their Mega Shine lipglosses. Revlon, to my knowledge, hasn't tested since 1989; they've got loads of great products. Hard Candy is another option.

I have milani in my local walgreens :)
Thanks for reminding me almost forgot about sugarpill.

GET THE REVLON LIPBUTTERS!

Seriously though, they are SO amazing. I love them to death. Amazing pigmentation and moisturizing power!

I also love Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black. A makeup artist used it on me for the photos on my profile. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. Milani products are also amazing. I'm in love with their "Luminoso" baked blush, which I think is a great dupe for Nars Orgasm!

NYX is hit/miss, but I do like their glosses and their matte lipsticks. Some of their shadows are nice, too. You just have to test them out!

I like E.L.F., it's a hit & miss brand but for the prices, they're worth a shot. Right now I'm really loving the e.l.f. mineral lip tints, so I'd suggest giving those a try. @Rikki P. same here, being more conscious about ingredients & animal testing has made me stay away from a lot of drugstore brands. @Shelly we can't control or know everything. This is true. But imo, I'd rather support a company who's making an effort to stay away from testing on animals and using toxic chemicals than just not care at all. It's not 100% safe and sound, but it's better than nothing.
