So i have never tried NARS and i've been wanting too but i have used elf and im not all that impressed so im just wondering are they alot alike? worth the money? I tend to purchase higher end makeup just not sure about this one.
Thanks!! Jamie
Reverse the brands in your subject line. ;) (Seriously, though; NARS has been around far longer than e.l.f.)
In my view, e.l.f. is okay if you want to try something out that's similar to a more expensive product (e.g., the blush/bronzer duo in e.l.f.'s Studio collection is similar to NARS' Orgasm/Laguna duo).
I don't have a ton of experience with NARS, but I know it has a very loyal following, and they'll tell you it has some amazing products. That said, if you're going to splurge on a NARS product, go for a blush. :)
the only experience I have with nars are their blushes and let me tell u they aint nothing like elf. Nars blushes are ridiculously pigmented compared to the elf ones. I think you should prob go into a store and swatch a few nars products first though to see what they're like.
NARS is a lot better than e.l.f. as far as quality goes. Personally, I don't wear blush as much as I wear lipstick, and I use Mayflower by NARS every day. If you are willing to pay a little bit more for a little better quality, NARS is definitely worth it.
NARS and e.l.f. aren't really comparable, in my opinion. NARS offers far better quality in terms of foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadows, lipsticks, etc.
e.l.f. is hit-or-miss as a budget brand, but that's what it is--a budget brand. I would classify NARS as high-end. As is often true in life, between the two you get what you pay for.
Nars and E.L.F, are both equally good products. E.L.F is also much more cheeper and the product is equally as god as Nars. I say that you should stick with elf due to the reasonable pricing and also they have many dupes to Nars also. I will say that some things your just going to have to spluge a bit more from Nars. It's all about how you see a product and how you want it to be used. :)
Nars is simply amazing, there colors have hgh pigments that will last FOREVER and they have some really good skin care proporties becuase they work with a japanes skin care brand called shieshado

I like NARS in general, but I am really not a fan of their single shadows. They're so chalky that the pigmentation doesn't show up. Of the four singles I've purchased, I've returned three. I do love the other products that I own though, specifically their blushes and NARS Sheer Glow Foundation.
My only experience with E.L.F. was a palette I purchased during the Xmas holiday that I used once and then gave to my 7 year old niece to play dress up with. I purchased the palette after watching a review on YouTube with the intention of giving it to my niece to play with.
There is a world of difference between NARS and E.L.F. The products are obviously geared towards a different end user. I think that the fun/trendy colors offered by E.L.F. are geared towards younger end users with more pizzazz than money and the highly pigmented lines offered by NARS are geared towards a more mature (not old) demographic.
An E.L.F. blush sells for $3 on their website... a comparably sized NARS blush is $28. While I am the first person to admit that price is not necessarily indicative of quality... you won't last long as a company selling $28 blush that is not demonstrably a quality product.

Nars blows elf out of the water! They are worth the money :) I suggest going to sephora and giving nars a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Nars would probably pass out at the question while yelling, "Sacre bleu!"

ELF is great if you're on a budget... but it is hit or miss. NARS I feel is much more reliable. You do get what you pay for!
