I am a competitive swimmer and always swimming every day. My hair gets so dry and gross and I get so self conscious about wearing my hair down to school sometimes! If anyone has any products they would like to recommend to me, I'll be a very happy girl :)

I have the split/dry ends problem as well and have for a long time. I am a believer in heat tools. Lol. But I recently started using the Organix Shampoo and Conditioner in Macadamia Oil and it hasn't worked magic, but I do notice a difference in my hair! My ends are a bit smoother and overall, it's less frizzy and unmanageable. I recommend it! Good luck. :)

I use the macadamia natural oil deep repair mask for my dry ends, it is AMAZING. i used it for a month and my hair is very healthy again. Joico kpak shampoo is also great for dry hair.

When I first moved up to NYC, I wasn't used to the harsh winters, even though this one wasn't that bad. (I'm a Florida girl at heart!) I started getting dry scalp as soon as summer ended and I was like "Whaaaaa????" I thought it was dandruff at first! Scary.

Then I invested in the Macadamia Oil Masque, like Karissa B. above mentioned. It significantly reduced the amount of flecks in my hair, and I LOVE IT. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth!!! It's a MUST have for any beauty girl!

If you're wondering, I use Bedhead's Moisture Maniac Shampoo and Redken's Allsoft Conditioner as well. I also use Redken Satinwear blow-dry lotion and ALWAYS make sure you use a heat protectant when you're heat styling! Mine currently is Tresemme and it gets the job done. Hope this helped!

Before you do anything, I think it would be best for you to chop off the split ends. Split ends on ly travel higher up the hair shaft if they aren't taken care of. After that, try and find a hair product that protects your hair against chlorine (: and deep condition your hair once a week, starting with using either olive oil or 100% pure coconut oil that comes in a glass bottle.

Hello, there's one post about preventing split ends on my blog but I would recommend you some Kerastase products because they really work :) although, if you want something more affordable, try Aussie :) basic idea is to use moisturizing products.

The best shampoo for me is Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo helped my dry and frizzy hair immensely. The argan oil deeply hydrates my hair and makes the strands more resilient plus frizz is smoothed and shine is increased. There's also a conditioner from the same brand :)

I've been using Shu Uemura Essence Oil and it's literally transformed my hair. I personally think it works so much better than Argan Moroccan oils. It can be used as an oil mask treatment as well before shampooing. So far after 5 months of not cutting my hair (travesty I know, but just no time!) no split ends at all! Enjoy :)

well I use Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Shampoo and Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Conditioner which are really good, help restore moisture to hair, protect against heat and chemical damage, safe for color-treated hair, condition hair back to its natural health.  :D

The best thing to do, is to cut off a few inches of hair, split ends travel higher and higher if they aren't taken care of. so if you have 1 inch of split ends, cut 2 inches off for just in case reasons. as for swimming - put like a conditioner on the ends of your hair so when you swim the chlorine will hit the conditioner first, not the hair. do you wear a swimming cap? i suggest buying one of those that way it can protect your hair from future damage.

Coconut oil! Put coconut oil in your hair and leave it in for about 15-30 min (or overnight if you take a shower in the morning) and then thoroughly rinse out with your shampoo as if you leave it in your hair you will have VERY oily hair ;)
