if there's only one beauty store need to be left what would you choose among this two

Ack, impossible choice! Ulta has more locations and is therefore more convenient, but Sephora has a much better range of products (and better trained, more knowledgeable staff on average).

I agree with Angela 100%. Ulta can be more convenient, but I am not a fan of their staff. And Ulta has a mix of high (although not a great range) and lower end cosmetics, plus all of the hair care products. But in the end, I think I would have to go with Sephora since they have a better range of products and better staff. Sephora also has a much better rewards program.

I'm very lucky to live by a mall that has a JcPenny AND a shopping center that has an Ulta BUT so far everything that I've bought at Ulta has been a major disappointment and had to be returned...everything except a cheapy nail polish. I think their products are really old which is horrible! Even if it's something in their sales rack it shouldn't smell funny or be dried out. That has happened to me several times...so SEPHORA for sure! ;)

I live right by a shopping center with an Ulta, and it has a JcPenny which has a Sephora inside. They are practically next to eachother. But I would say Sephora.
And love the rewards from Sephora

I like both, but I get more excited about Ulta! I live in Canada and I have 4 Sephoras near me and I have to drive 2.5 hours into the US to come across an Ulta, so I am always more excited about Ulta.

I live near an Ulta and have a JC Penny with a Sephora counter. If I had to choose I think I would go with Sephora because I have never been to a Sephora store! Also, Ulta's lower end cosmetics seem overpriced to me especially when I can get them at Rite aid wayyy cheaper

I have both in my area and hands down I'll walk into a Sephora faster than I would to ULTA. Sephora has a better rewards program as well.

Sephora.
I've never really gotten into Ulta.

Neither are super close to where I live. (Nearest Ulta is four to four-and-a-half hours away; nearest Sephora (read: the only one in Maine!) is six hours away.) [EDIT: Actually, I learned after posting this there's a Sephora in Quebec City that's closer to where I am, but it's still a fairly long drive away.]
Argh. I've been ordering more from Ulta lately, but I'd rather have a Sephora nearer to me than an Ulta, methinks. So I'll go with Sephora.

BOTH! I like shopping at Ulta to buy drugstore products - their sales plus manufacturer coupons plus their $3.50 off $10 or more = FANTASTIC DEALS! Sephora for samples.
