For the past 4 years or so, when I run my fingers through my hair while I'm washing it, a few strands of hair come out. I think it might be because I've dyed it and bleached it and lifted colours so much (I've dyed it about twice a year for the past 7 years) but I want to be sure. It's not anything medical, I've gotten checked and I'm 100% healthy. Apart from my hair that is...what should I do?
It's probably normal if only a few strands come out. Remember you are suppose to shed a LOT of hair every day! It's something like 50-100 strands a day and it's def normal.

That's totally normal! Like Karissa said, everybody loses about 100 hairs off your head every day. It's just the natural cycle of your hair growth. I lose lots of hair in the shower, it's really gross. You should only worry if it's coming off in big chunks, or your scalp is getting patchy.
Lol that's definitely normal. Unless you're experiencing large clumps or patches. If it freaks you out too much try detangling with a wide tooth comb and try to get all your shed hairs out before you wash
I thought like.. 250 strands a day was normal? My mother also has the same problem. I think it gets like that, especially if you have really long hair and haven't gotten it cut in a while. Lots of loose strands just WAITING to fall down. That being said, in some cases it could be alopecia, which is an illness caused by severe stress I believe. Either that or because of malnutrition, such as in eating disorders. But the two last ones are very serious.

if its coming out in clumps or u notice your natural part looking wider (more skin showing) - it def could be an underlying issue such as low thyroid or even hormonal...I just had my hormones checked because the last 6 months my hair has been coming out in clumps... and i notice a huge change. I think mine is stress related even though i dont feel terribly stressed?
