How many minutes do you wait between coats of different nail polishes when doing a design? I tend to think that it is ok to move on before its dry enough and end up smudging. Any help?

Well it really just depends on the nail polish! Some say top speed, quick dry, fast dry and so on, but that may not always be true. I just lightly touch, I mean very lightly touch when i want to see if it is dry, usually the first and second coat I won't wait so long, but then at the 3rd coat you really have to

I usually test whether they're dry enough or not by letting the nails on the one hand geeently touch the nails of the other hand. If you feel a sticky sensation they can wait a little longer but if you don't feel any tackiness then you're good to go.
This is however only to test if the surface of the nail is dry - are you making a jelly sandwich or just a bunch of layers the whole design can still have loads of drying to do underneath.
