Ive been a Lancome Beauty Advisor/ Make up artist for about 4 months now and i have encounterd this question several times but im not sure what to suggest to these clients. I myself have never had this problem so im not sure what could be the cause. The issue for these ladies is that no matter what liner they use, whether it be pencil, gel, even our liquid, the just fades away. These women do not use eye creams, which is at first what i thought the problem could be,if they were applying the product to close to the eye. What could be causing this to happen for these women? Any thoughts or suggestions??
Many times the culprit is oily eyelids. Oil breaks down makeup - except alcohol-based formulas which are generally not optimal for the eyes.
You'd be surprised what a little translucent powder and a good eye primer can do for these women. Lightly powder the lids, prime, and continue application as normal. I also prefer gel liners like Jet Set that are known for their insane staying power. Nothing will fix the problem 100%, but this technique should alleviate most of her issues. Good luck-

Tell them to always set their eyeliner with an eyeshadow of the same color, and then if they still need staying power, use a setting spray.
