Hi everybody! I recently got highlights and my hair looks yellow:( this base color is a strawberry blonde ash color and my highlights make me look like I have yellow hair... any suggestions? Im willing to go back and ask to get another weave done but dont know if it will work....
If they are yellow then they need to be toned to counteract the brassiness. It sounds like you went to a salon to get it done. You should call the salon and speak to the manager and say you are unhappy with the results, they were not what you requested in terms of color at the end. The manager more than likely will offer to let your first stylist re-do it, but if you feel uncomfortable with that you can request that someone else does it.
Go to Sallys or Ulta or back to a salon and get some purple shampoo. Most companies have a purple shampoo. (Joico, Paul mitchell, Big Sexy Hair, etc). Wash your hair with regular shampoo, then use the purple shampoo, then condition your hair. Use the purple shampoo everytime you wash your hair for a week-2weeks, then reduce to 2 times a week. If you over use it, it will tint your hair purple.
Those are good tips for how to tone at home, but she paid for a service and was unhappy with the results. She shouldn't have to spend more money to fix it herself, the salon should be willing to make things right with her since the results did not make her happy.
