I can't remember how I got here but when I did I was so glad because I need help in the makeup department. I'm 16 and I was recently allowed to wear makeup but the problem is I DO NOT know how to wear makeup that looks natural. I don't even know if I'm deep, dark, or olive it's really frustrating. Someone please help.

For makeup newbies (I was one several years ago) YouTube is your best friend. I would start off slow and ease into adding more drama to your looks.
If you feel you need a face powder, Revlon Colorstay is a good start. Finding your undertone can be tricky, but not difficult. If your veins look green, you're warm; blue you're cool.
Milani pencils are fantastic and cheap. The brown is nice and dark and the black is jet black.
Find a nice blush you like. If you're warm tone, oranges, peaches and corals are lovely. Cool tones ladies look great in cool plums, pinks and reds.
NYX make great glosses and they are affordable.
Drugstore mascara's are just as good, sometimes better than department store. Don't get waterproof. You'll be forced to buy makeup remover and that is an unnecessary cost for now.
If you want something on your eyes, Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadow in Bronze is lovely. It can be applied with your finger if your nails aren't long. Apply it lightly to your lid up to your crease. Blend it out with your face powder.
Study YouTube and blogs. Once you get comfortable, then venture out with more detailed eye looks. EcoTools and Real Techniques brushes are good and affordable. Wet-N-Wild have affordable and pigmented shadows.
Don't worry about filling in brows, bronzer or contouring the face for now. Just keep your brows neat and don't over pluck.
The best thing you could ever do is experiment, experiment, EXPERIMENT. Sit in front of the mirror and find the areas that you love about your face, and areas that you are not so found of. Have fun with the makeup!!!! If you make it a frustrating thing, makeup will not be fun for you. I look at pics from when I was in highschool and laugh at some of the things I did.... but it was fun!!! Again Youtube is your friend!!! I have been working with makeup since I was 5.... but Youtube has inspired me to do more....
