China Glaze Formula Change???

I have noticed a strange trend with my China Glaze polishes. About two weeks ago I picked up my favorite color from Sally's cause I had run out- I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with it, but it's Turned Up Turquoise Neon. When I got home to put it on, despite looking rich and glossy in the bottle, the formula dried thin and matte. I thought it was weird so I took it back to Sally's, thinking I may have just gotten a bad one and my second bottle did the same thing!

I was also at the premiere Orlando hair show where I picked up a few more China Glaze polishes, from the summer collection as well. I picked up a gorgeous deep blue called Splish Splash- and it did the same thing!

I use non acetone nail polish remover and I don't typically use a base coat because China Glaze polishes already stay so well for me. Has any one else noticed this in their bottles of China Glaze??

I'd never used their polish before, but my Neon Shocking Pink shade of theirs does the same thing. And it cracks oddly and worse than anything I've ever used! Polish usually chips fast on my nails for some reason, but this is insane. I hate it, because I absolutely LOVE the color, but it will not stay put for anything.

The other China Glaze polishes I have owned/used never had this problem! >.< I tried contacting their customer service, but I have yet to hear back.

As far as I know, Turned Up Turquoise has always been matte. I bought mine over a year ago.

That's so weird, because I got my first bottle of Turned Up Turquoise when I was in high school about 3 years ago and I still have a little left, and when I swatched them next to one another, the older one is still glossy? Oh well. Im glad to know its normal now!

Can you do a swatch of the new and old one so we can see. I have tons of CG polishes and none of them have done this to me unless it was a matte. And actually Turned up Turquoise is a matte finish. It's possible that they did change the formula to fit what's currently trending especially if you haven't purchased one since high school.

Turned Up Turquoise is a neon so it should dry with a matte/satin finish like yours does. Any polish with neon pigment usually dries matte, including Splish Splash. The summer collection that Splish Splash is from includes all neons, so all of the colours from that collection will dry matte. Some topcoat will make it perfectly shiny though! (:

Actually not all neons dry matte I have a few that aren't matte at all but are cream based so they dry with a shine instead of a flat finish.
