Tanning outside in the sun can be very bad for you if you are out there for a prolonged time. It can damage your skin, burn you and cause your skin to age faster. Anytime you get burned puts you at a higher risk of developing skin cancer. Many people swear by never going into the sun and constantly wearing high Spf when they go outside. I am realistic about it, sometimes I like to sit outside for a little bit, though I always wear Spf when I am outside for a long period of time. And protection on my face all the time regardless of how long I will be out.
To still get that sunny tan, without skin damage I suggest self tanners. There are thousands of them on the market, anyone can find something that works perfect for them:)
The sun can be damaging but you shouldn't be afraid to go outside, just use protection:)
