My partner in crime at IMATS was able to speak to the owner of Coastal Scents. He said to her he wasn't happy with the quality of the brushes they distributed so now their brushes are made "in house".
My current favorite brushes are from bdellium. I have up on my blog an article about their newest line the Bambu. http://zadidoll.blogspot.com/2012/0...
the 22 brush set is fantastic. The brushes are so soft I practically fall back asleep when I'm putting my makeup on. lol. Plus its definitely a good deal. I totally think they are worth a shot, I'm so thankful I got them.
a lot of makeup brands have brushes you can find at crown brush so see which one you like and see if at crown brush they are cheap, because they are the same quality and tend to be much more cheaper
Its all about trail and error really,as some people will have completley different views on it,After much thought I have decided to purchase it but if your a bit nervous ask your friends if they have a costal scents brush? If they havent,i suggest getting them anyway as thier soo cheap;)
I got a set a few years back. I love the eye brushes but not the face ones. They were terrible scratchy an shed like no other. As far as good and cheap goes ecotools is my favorite brand. They are sooo soft and i havent had and shedding problems at all.

I have a couple brushes from CS but I don't like them at all! They smell gross and aren't made well. If you're looking for cheaper makeup brushes I would look into Real Techniques brushes or Eco tools. Hope I helped!
I bought my first set from them about 4 years ago when I was first starting out. They work they're good quality and I still use them.
but they can't compare to MAC brushes or Sigma!

I have never purchased any brushes fron them, but I have purchased a stippling brush from bh Cosmetics. Its great! So I would guess the rest of their brushes are good too. bh Cosmetics and Coastal Scents are similar anyways, at least with the eyeshadows because they get them from the same manufacturers. So if you want to try them, go for it. You could also try Crown Brush. They are having a sale right now. Some items are 60% off.
Iam trying to find a good brand of brushes that are affordable but from good quality. I am not a professional so i donot need as of a high quality but i do want the brushes to last. Do you guys think Coastal Scents a good brand? Since it seems that they offer good deals on their brushes but why buy something that will not last? Thank you for ur input :)

Yes, I have some of them and they've been good so far. I would suggest starting with them and introducing pricier ones later on : )
