Help! Just started Accutane a week ago. My face is turning a bright red and im pretty pale. It doesn't feel too dry yet and I moisturize twice a day. Is there any tips on reducing redness so my head doesn't look like a cherry tomato :/? Im using egg whites to try and brighten up the skin and rose water to calm it but it only helps a little. I don't like wearing foundation but maybe there is a good green tinted moisturizer/cream you know of? Something light? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much for the tip Courtney! Ive been looking into it and I saw smashbox had a green primer that got pretty high ratings and physicians formula has a green powder as well. I had no idea! I was hoping there was ways around covering it but if this works I cant complain ;] Ill have to ask my dermatologist as well! Thanks again :D
MUFE's green primer is really great, I would suggest putting a tinted moisturizer or some light powder overtop though. Also I've heard great things about Lorac's Neutralizer!
Thanks for the suggestions Yumi!! I see the Lorac one has really high ratings :] This really helps because I want to invest in the right product! Is the neutralizer similar to a moisturizer or a primer?

Hi Katie,
I'd treat it instead of just concealing. Murad sensitive skin soothing serum calms and reduces redness on contact as well as the rest of Murad sensitive skin line does..I use the serum for acne, because my skin can become dehydrated, tight, red from treatments.
Thanks so much Jena for the suggestion! Id much prefer to treat rather than cover it up! I looked into the serum and people had good things to say! Im just worried my redness may not be because of dryness since my face is still really oily. Maybe Ill just combine a serum with a neutralizer or their correcting moisturizer and see how that goes :D Thanks so much a again! You've been a big help!

You can get a NYX (I think it's a base) green base. Try mixing that in with your tinted moisturiser.
Here is a link I found for it on ebay
