At least from when you started actually getting into makeup.
A few years ago, I couldn't go more than 4 days without buying something. I'd buy EVERYTHING I could even get my hands on - it got bad.
The reason I'm asking this is because I haven't bought ANY makeup since December & I can honestly say that's the longest I've ever gone since I was about 13 years old (I'm 20 now)
Stuff came up in my life & it was no longer such a high priority. Luckily, bc of all the stuff I've collected, not once have I felt like I need something that I don't have. It's nice.
Months. I have a pretty decent amount of makeup, but I've collected it over a long span of time. I don't buy makeup often now because I just can't afford to. I buy maybe one thing a month. But I have a lot to use up, so it works out :)
I wish i could buy more makeup, but i'm just so broke. I've gone a year without buying makeup. I have a lot, well, not A LOT, but enough, that i discovered products i never really used before.
I'm on a personal challenge to not buy any makeup till I use up atleast 25-50% of all I got. It mostly eyeshadows I keep collecting and it has to stop. I started this in february and I'm doing quite well, I've bought some stuff but those were skincare and face products.
I'm really conscious on what I buy, even for clothes. And I'm happy playing around with what I have. Besides I'm saving on the side for a rainy day. :)
I'm a total hoarder... plus I run a makeup blog so I kinda have to buy the newer products to review in order to stay relevant, so I'd say the longest I've gone was maybe 2 weeks...
I used to buy makeup so infrequently, that when I went back to the makeup counter to ask for a color, they'd laugh because it had been discontinued three years prior! Or I'd take a case in for a refill and they'd look at amazement that my case was from like, two generations past. But since I started working at Beautylish I've become obsessed with makeup and it's hard not to buy something every week or so. That's being restrained. I'd like to buy something every day!
I cant even go a week. My never buying makeup days are gone.. I used to not even wear it until the summer of 7th grade, now Im graduating and I buy drugstore makeup everytime i go to the store which is at least once a week. And high end is very rarely. less than once a month.. maybe once every two or three.
I go in my phases where i constantly buy makeup and then just stop because i just am not interested i can go walk into sephora and not want to buy anything :/ but my phase has come back because i just recently spent almost $200 at MAC :/ darn sailor collection!
A few months. Now that I have started school again and get a 30% discount on products sold in the school I'm at, I have a feeling I'm going to be stocking up. And BACKBAR! I see myself going through a few binges while I'm at school.
