I am in desperate need for a primer and foundation for my oily skin! In the winter my skin is combination, but come the warmer months it goes to complete oil slick.... ehttp://wwww!!! I am about to go to school all day then work 5 hours 5 days a week. I want to find something to help me not look so greasy. Right now I use a moisturizer, then hard candy's primer, and revlon colorstay foundation in combination to oily skin formula. But I am still getting very oily at the end of the day! NOTE: I also am using a setting powder! Can anyone help me out please! :)
I have very oily skin as well. What works great for me (even with Florida humidity) is Clean and Clear oil control moisturizer, Bare Minerals matte foundation, and i finish with ELF HD Powder. :)
Do you change your skincare routine with the seasons? Also, product-wise, are you using like with like? (For example, if your moisturizer is silicone-based, it will work better with a silicone-based primer and foundation.) I know Hard Candy's primer is silicone-based, as is Colorstay (even though both list water first, both have a silicone as the second ingredient). What moisturizer are you using?
@Britt B. I have not tried the bare minerals matte foundation, but i am more of a liquid foundation kind of girl. And I have the ELF HD powder, I just haven't given it a shot with setting my makeup. I always thought it was more for appearance not performance.
@Shelly T. I am actually trying out the clean and clear one that Britt mentioned. So far I like it but I feel as if since I did acutane like 3 years ago my skin is just an oil field.... :/
