How do you conceal under-eyes bags?
Apart from local treatments or surgery, of course! :-)
Thanks for sharing tips and yr experience!
Pls help! Thanxxxx
well i would first consult with a doctor about it to see if maybe there is an ubderlying cause. its usually a result of fluid build up (edema), meaning your fluid intake is low, so your body is holding on to whatever water it can. i would up your water intake to at least 64-72 oz a day if not already. also wherever salt goes, water follows. so maybe cut back on the consumption of salt. not jst table salt bc a lot of prepackage foods and fast/restaurant foods carry A LOT OF SALT. i would also try sleeping with your head slightly elevated. and if you havent already, try cold compresses under your eyes....freeze tea bags or use an ice pouch; whatever is easiest. but ultimately the problem should be adressed from the inside, out. i hope this helps at least a little bit.
If you have bad under eye bags it is a good idea to try and get more iron in your diet. Hope this helped sorry if it didn't
You could temporarily reduce puffiness by freezing a spoon and placing it on the bags. :)
@Carmen C. Wow! Thanks for your superdetailed answer, I'm impressed! :-) I was trying to figure out the way to conceal this problem
Thanks to our weird and overly warm Winter I spent the first 3 months of this year battling, watery eyes, bags and dark circles that were almost biblical in scope.. after hours of research, several trips to the doctor and a drawer full of concealers...here is what I came up with:
To help minimize:
Get tested for allergies
Sleep with your head elevated
Up your fluid intake
And to cover them up:
Bobbi Brown's Correct and Conceal. Go to an actual Bobbi Brown counter by the way don't just guess at what you need.
Ops! I messed up... sorry! ;-) I was trying to conceal undereye bags on a client earlier today, and I was not satisfied with the result, do I thought I would ask some other MUA for advice... I didn't expect such in-depth info, but I'm so glad you shared, 'cause it made me realize that I was looking into the matter in a superficial way, while a good professional should always aim to the very core of the problem, in order to solve it. Thanks Haley W. and Elizabeth G., I'll make sure I pass your advice to my client , I'm sure she'll appreciate just as much as I did! Thank you girls, you are always so kind and sweet ! Kisses!!
@Daphne R. Thank you so much for yr advice! I'll surely try the Bobbi Brown; btw I was taught to apply concealer only under the bags and to add some kind of highlighter or something that reflects the light, but that's what I did today on my client and the result was not what I hoped for... Maybe it's just lack of skill... hope not! ;-)
thanks thanks and kisses!

Hi! Instead of using a highlighting concealer or a regular concealer i use a peachy coloured concealer & it does the trick! I had a client that did the same thing she would cake on the highlighiting concealer & foundation and it would only result in cakeyness! Basically it goes back to the colour wheel! The peach counteracts the bluey green colour that you get under your eyes! Hope that helped! :)
thanks to carmen c. i'll try that later. :D
You need to neutralize the color. Use an orange based corrector like Benefit Erase Paste or MAC's peach color corrector. The darker the skin is, the more orange pigment it should contain.

Well a quick easy way to revitalize your eyes is to use green tea. Take a bag put it in warm water and then let out some water out of the bag and apply the bag under each eye. Or take cotton pads and dip them in the tea and put over you eyes! Works GREAT!

You could use an eye cream? But if you decides to buy one it's important to do some serious research before you buy one :) I bought GinZing from Origins, and it really helps! A friend of my had some kind of allergic reaction and her eyes puffed like crazy, but when she used some of cream they depuffed. But try to get a sample, just to be sure :)

Mary Kay firming under eye cream. I know alot of us think mary kay is for old ladies, but i swear by the stuff. I've had horrible under eye bags forever, and after a week of using the stuff i can already see the difference.
for concealing though i love the maybelline tone correcting concealer. I cant' remember what the actual product is called, but its' the one with the little fluffy applicator at the top.

Place frozen spoons under your eyes before you leave for your normal daily routine! :)
