I recently ran out of setting powder and I wanted to know what my options were now that I need to replace it and what works. I used the MAC mineralized loose powder and I really liked it. Lasted me for a couple of years. I want something just to set the foundation. The coverage alone I'll get from the foundation. Thanks for your help.

If you're up for a splurge, try Guerlain's meteorites powders... Both the pressed and color correcting pearls are my favorites! They give your face a subtle glow without looking shiny/glittery like you have (as my bf would say...) "Booty Dust" all over your face.

Booty dust = body glitter a stripper uses to accentuate her *ahem* "goodies"... =P

I use Marcelle's translucent loose powder & I love it! You get a lot of product too so it lasts a while and I found it at a drug store!

i use coty airspun powder, it's drugstore, lasts forever and sets beautifully.

Nordstrom's, Sephora, Neiman Marcus, etc. - I still use MUFE HD for days I feel like matte looks, but the Guerlain powders are a treat to finish my look with, and they take care with the ingredients they use. =]

It would be more love if it wasn't just silica powder at a ridiculously marked-up price. Seriously. You can go to Coastal Scents' website, or TKB Trading's site, buy an ounce of it for much less than what MUFE charges for .3 oz of it.

Ahem.

I like NYC's loose powder. $3 for 1.2 oz, lasts a very long time. There's also a pressed version.

I just got some good ole CoverGIrl. I ran out of my normal powder and had to get some from the grocery store. So far, so good. I have skin that will get oily or dry, very easy. My skin plays into the power of suggestion, I guess.

My all time favorite is laura mercier's setting powder. You get a large amount pf product for your money!! Also this setting powder doesnt seem to photograph ashy on darker skin tones as compared to branda like mufe or mac.

I have tried the chanel universal presse powder and for as expensive as it is i would not reccomend it. I dont reach for it as often as i would like and when i do it is to justify the purchase

Haley, silica powders only strobe when applied incorrectly. Those celebs with those issues had poor makeup artists... Not bad product. =]

HANDS DOWN MAC's TRANSLUCENT POWDER! Love it.
