I'm just wondering how you guys prefer to do your polish. I stick with thick coats- a drop at the end of the brush, typically. I find I just get better results this way. I haven't always done it this way, and it took a lot of times of doing my nails to realize it was the easier way. I used to do like, five thin coats. >.<

Most definetly thick coats

Most people like the thick coats because it leaves a smooth sleek finish. I like to smooth my nail with a fine grit file and then a buff and a natural nail shine. Then i find that doing thinner coats lasts longer and dries faster than the thick coats :)

Huh, I just can't seem to find a good nail buffer, so I don't. I do occasionaly use ridge filler though. Love the stuff!

I try not to do real thin coats, otherwise my polish never dries and it's harder to work with. Slow and steady wins the race. ;]

Sally's always has a good nail buffer. :)

@Lacey, you mean you do alot if thin coats?
@Nichole You bought a buffer or a bottle of ridge filler?
@Dixie I'm headed to Sally's sometime this week or next, so will do. But I'm wirried- will it damage my nails?

sorry, a buffer, its just one of those square ones with all the different sides to it. really makes your nails shine

Nope. :) its been good so far and I use it quite often. It just smooths it for a glass like finish.

*real thick coats. Sorry! Typo! I'd rather do three thin ones than two thick ones. =]

I also like doing thinner coats. I almost never have to go over 3 coats though. I've found that bubbling can happen if I do really thick coats, other wise I would! Also they dry a lot faster.

Definitely thick coats. It's shinier and quicker, but thick coats also get sticky easier.

Thick all the way usually, but if I'm building up a sheer polish then I'll use more thin coats.
It does always seem easier to work with more nail polish though!
