i love the way how everybody does it but all the time i do it it never comes out just rite what can it be??? the polish the cup the tool i use what????
ok i get a plastic cup with water leave it there for about 5 mins then i get three nail polishes i like i put one drop then a next then the next, i get a tooth pick then from inner to outer spread the colors till i see something i like, then i pass tissue to clean any extra, but when i go in for the second nail it get's harder to move and the whole thing just clumps up.....
The water needs to be at room temp.
Do you put tape around your nails?
Also the results will be better if you do one nails per time. The clumps might be the results of it sitting out for too long.
It could definitely be the nail polish you're using. Try different combinations, some nail polishes just don't want to cooperate with the technique. Also, try to work quickly when you're dropping the polishes onto the water and creating your design.
Water out of the tap is fine but let it warm up to room temp. Water too cold will harden the nail polish. You also have to work quickly with water marbling because the polish will harden in the water.
Speed dry polishes are no good ... And Ive used both tape & vaseline around the nail ... Very time consuming water marbling is but the end result is well worth it!
I agree with gabrielle h. Do one nail per round of drops.
And i usually drag the color out to in, so that the middle drop doesn't spread so much.
Vaseline is the easiest removal technique. tape can be kind of tricky.

Ive used water right out of the facuet & ive never used tape around my nails. For brighter colors use a white base coat then do the marbling.

I usually use bottled or filtered room temp water, and I don't really have problems too often. Maybe it's the nail polish you're using?

I like using warm tap water myself. It took me forever to get the hang of it. I just had to keep trying different combinations to see what works.

also use a base colour similar to the colours you are using so they come out more opaque.
I did it once with nude nails and it came out so sheer I was super annoyed.
