what type of eye primer would you recommend when you are looking for a bright, bold color?

Too Faced.
And some sort of white base would help but I don't use a white base ever and my looks have been just fine.

benefit's stay don't stray...by far my favorite primer, it really makes your eyeshadow pop and stay put

they both work really well.. bennefits is just a white primer, where as too faced is more of an white shimmery/glittery. i use the bennefit one everyday, but i feel like there both pretty much on the same level for me, cant go wrong with either one!

I love Urban Decay's primer potion. You can also use a nice creamy concealer. I use my NYX concealer in a jar as a base when I don't have my udpp && it works just as well!

hmm i have never heard of the primer potion, it sounds very neat

Autumn gave a good run down of the difference. I find for that reason I like to use benefit's for a more dramatic look since it's almost like working on a clean white canvas, and too faced's for everyday/ natural looks.

ok, thanks that makes more sense and thats a good thing to find two primers, so that you can have those different looks for the eyes.

What ever works best on your skin. I've tried a lot of primers and my skin only loves one and that's Benefits Stay don't Stray.

Heads up, I know someone mentioned Urban Decay's Primer as a good one and Sephora is offering it today in full size as a free gift with any $25 purchase. Just in case you were already planning to make a MU purchase, you might want to to take advantage of this offer.

I'm an Urban Decay girl myself. But if you want brights, you're gonna want to go with a white base.

I used UDPP for about a year, but then it lost its effectiveness for me. Currently I'm using NYX's HD primer.

I have been thinking about getting one, too. I've always just used regular concealer/powder first, with good results, so I don't know that it is a necessity for me. I love experimenting, though. I don't like putting wet stuff on my lids...I was thinking about the NYX jumbo sticks.

I didn't have any eyeshadow primer but with the summer heat I didn't want it to melt off so I just used foundation primer.

I'm agreeing with the UDPP and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk combo... It works quite nicely.
