I hear so much about the craving colors in the Sugarpill Heartbreak Palette that so many girls are talking about it. What are the dupe Colors that I can use to create this same palette?
You're better off buying it, in my opinion, because you'll probably spend the same amount or more on similar colours, it's pretty affordable at 4 - 1.25" pan eyeshadows for $34.
^def. agree w/ Heather on this one... Ms. Shrinkle outdid herself by providing us with such awesome palettes, and even though brights are something I never wear, I'm proud to have both palettes in my collection for an accent color when needed. =]
I have it and blogged about it. The blue is very dupable. MUFE #159 is an exact match. The lime color is dupable as well, but maybe not in a nearly matte finish. You find a similar shade of the purple at Inlgot. The sea foam shade is the standout of the palette. Not easy to find that pigmented shade in a nearly matte finish. In second place is the lime.
If you're going to dupe it dupe it with LESS EXPENSIVE products. For example, the MUFE 159 mentioned costs $20 for 0.08 oz. Velocity on it's own costs $12 for 0.14 oz. - almost TWICE the amount of product for $8 less! So which is the better deal? Sugarpill's palette for $34 since you get four shadows that are each 0.14 oz.
@ Yasmin. I don't understand why you have an issue with me bringing up MUFE. Apparently, I've offended you by daring to compare it to Sugarpill. If I have, I don't care. First off, I'm comparing the color. Since when do color dupes have to also equal price? That is ridiculous because cost is relative. Have you considered the fact that maybe someone already has MUFE #159 and may not want a dupe OR someone wanting #159 that now has a cheaper option? Seriously.
I don't have an issue, I'm merely pointing out it's more expensive in terms of price and that you get LESS product. You stated above, "You can buy MUFE pans for $13" but why would someone pay more money for less product if they're already looking to buy Sugarpill? That's why I posted Sugarpill is still less money for more product.
I'm not here trying to be mean or argue with you I merely pointed out, economically speaking, MUFE is more expensive either as a pan ($13 for 0.08 oz) or in a container ($20 for 0.08 oz) while Sugarpill is $12 per color and you get almost twice the amount of product (0.14 oz).
For arguement's sake let's say that MUFE has four identical shades to Sugarpill's Heartbreaker. You wrote that the pans are $13 (in the pots it's $20).
MUFE: $13 x 4 = $52 - each pan is only 0.08 oz
Sugarpill's Heartbreaker palette: $34 - each pan is 0.14 oz
Price difference: $18 for 0.24 oz less product.
If a person were to buy the MUFE in the containers it's $20 each compared to Sugarpill's $12 for each individual shadow.
MUFE: $20 x 4 = $80
Sugarpill: $12 x 4 = $48
Heartbreaker palette: $34
Price difference: $32 to $46.
Sugarpill makes a great dupe for MUFE 159 since it's less expensive and you get more product but it makes no sense to go out an BUY MUFE 159 to dupe Sugarpill's Velocity when Sugarpill is less money for more product.
Now as you pointed out in your comment above, if a person already HAS MUFE 159 but not Sugarpill's Velocity then sure they can possibly dupe it and save their money that way.
Well after all that discussion over MUFE 159 and Sugarpill's Velocity the two colors are not identical to each other. My local Sephora does not carry 159 so I won't be able to pick it up until IMATS unless I order it from Sephora, I'll wait. BUT doing a side-by-side image comparison from Sugarpill's swatch and one from Temptalia shows the two colors don't look identical.

But if you don't want to buy the palette, here is a great blog post comparing different eyeshadows: http://www.phyrra.net/2012/05/sugar...

You can buy MUFE pans for $13. Just sayin'.

It would still be $1 more for almost half the size of Sugarpill.

I would say get the palette if you can afford it, otherwise I do not have any "CHEAPER" dupes as she asked for... :/

In my opinion it makes more sense to just buy the actual palette rather than go buy individual dupes for the palette.

Personally I love the palette. I'd just buy it! You won't be sorry!
