How do you find the perfect foundation shade. For me it's hard I usually spend a large amount of time searching for he perfect shade. I'm in between tones (yellow and red) and it's really hard for me I have to alway buy two different colors and mix to a perfect shade... that's just too much for me lol. Foundation is never right for me it's either too light or too dark. My face is darker than my neck and I'm always confused on which to base my foundation on...how do you guys match your shade?

I think its always important to match your foundation to your neck otherwise u will have a foundation line and as for finding your perfect shade that is so hard unless u get it matched at like mac sephora or wherever u buy your foundation if its drugstore then sometimes u just have to buy two shades if they dont have a large selection of colors and even sometimes when buying higher end foundations as well

I actually match my foundation to the middle part of my chest because that is pretty much the same color as the rest of my body.
As for finding a perfect match it can be really hard to do in a drugstore because you can't really find a sample and try it on.
But in other stores like Sephora I always swatch the shades i think might best suit me.
I pick three of them and swatch them all next to each other on my chest and which ever disappears or is closest to my skin tone is the one I'll buy but keep in mind that some foundations can oxidize on your skin and change it's appearance.
What I would suggest is after finding the shade you think suits you best, ask for a sample of it and apply it on your face.
Once you do that, wear it for a while and go out in natural daylight. That way you can truly see if the color matches you and will suit you ALL day.
