What are some the best foundations for oily/acne prone skin? And will last all day. I love Estee' Lauder's Double Wear Foundation but wanted to know if there was something out there just as good but a little cheaper.
I have oily skin and acne ! I use Neutrogena Skin Clearing oil-free foundation , this is the best foundation i have ever used ! It actually has salcylic acid in the foundation to help acne treatment, since i've started using it my acne has gone down sooo much ! I hope this helps ! Good luck !
I have not tried Neutrogena but have tried Clinique's Acne Solutions which also has salcylic acid and helps cover the acne. It def helped the acne and the oil also but didn't keep that all day fresh look as the double wear does. I will look into the Neutrogena! Thanks Kristen :)
What do you think about Neutrogena's staying power though? Does it last all day? and through heat and humidity? I live in the south so its hard to find something doesn't melt right off my face.
@ melissa d. I havent tried Neutrogens staying powder I use bare minerals bc at the moment thats what I have so I use it.I live in the south also with the humidity and oily skin, I dont know how you apply your powder, but I have found it stays on and doesnt cake up or melt off as fast when you do the blotting with it instead of rubbing it on your face . I take a powder brush and just blot my T-zone bc I hate the fake cakey look. If you dont do it this way I really recomend trying it. Its done wonders for me.
I live in Barbados so i know all about the heat and makeup melting off, as well as the oily/acne prone skin. I use Cliniques Even Better foundation. Once used with a face primer, it should last :) I use Hourglass mineral veil primer. N also, you can use a setting powder on your t-zone and dab it on instead of rub in, as Amanda B has said :)
I have very oily skin and in the mornings when I am putting on my foundation and my makeup it look nice, but then during the day my face would get very oily and shiny. I have try everything, until I have found this really good moisturizer from Ponds. Ponds make this moisturizer called Ponds b3 clarant, it is also really good if you have dark spots and it fades it away, plus you can use it as a makeup base for your foundation . I have been using it for a while now and it is very good. My face is not oily and shiny. I also use a powder called Ben Nye Visage powder, which is also good to set your makeup I hope this help

Thanks Josephine, I will definitely try the Ponds! Maya, I have used Clinique's Even Better foundation before and I'm not crazy about it but I will check out the Hourglass mineral veil primer...Thanks for all the help ladies :)
Mufes mat velvet is an amazing foundation for oily skin also clinique came out with a new foundation called stay matte that works actually very well and thats saying alot from me cuz i not a huge fan of clinique products but it works well also the clinique even better foundation will not mattify neither will the hourglass mineral primer dont get me wrong mineral viel primer is absoultely freaking amazing but it will not help control oil it will water proof yor makeup tho the stuff is amazing!!!!
I have really oily skin and I have tried soooo many foundations but they all either break me out or make me look really oily. So I tried out the esste lauder BB cream and then ontop I put on the elf translucent powder (I also used concealer to cover my undereyes). And I find that it actually works!! If i am going to a party or going somewere really hot I would use a makeup setting spray. hope this helps ;)
mac studio fix is a really good foundation for oily skin, it provides FULL coverage, so if you don't like they heavy feel of foundation than you should try out mac's pro long wear. I've used both on my oily skin and they have both worked amazing. and leave a matte finish.
MAC's Matchmaster foundation is great for the summer and the humidity. I use it as my everyday foundation and it stays put. Its great coverage and you can build it up to a more full coverage without it looking thick and cakey! I get very oily and with this i notice i dont have to retouch. Have a setting spray to refresh your makeup if your going to have it on longer then 8hrs.
I know Revlon has Revlon Colorstay in Oily/Combo. It might work for you! However, I dont like it at all, but to each his own and it make work great for you! It is a thick foundation though too.

I use Jane Iredale powder foundation. It has hugh coverage and it lasts awhile. I also use concealer (jane iredale or mac) plus a tinted moisturizer (laura mercier) and setting powder (cover fx or laura mercier) and it works just as well. :)
I've been using neutrogena
SkinClearing Liquid Makeup because of the salicylic acid... I just don't feel it lasts all day. I set it with a powder but by the end of the day I can tell I'm in need of a major touch up... Would primer help? Is facial lotion not the same as primer? I totally hate how huge my pores look
