From a makeup artist and just in general, what is your best and favorite eyeshadow primer? I have been using Two Faced shadow insurance for almost 1 year and ahalf, and it's the gods gift to primers (in my opinion) and I need to branch out, and find different ones to try and get out of my comfort zone.
ELF Primer is alright but not so much when it's really hot out. I dislike all of Urban Decay's primers and there's no way in hell I'm paying the price for the NARS primer.
I'd had my Too Faced S. Insurance for almost 2years and it started getting all watery and weird on me, so I decided to go ahead and spend the extra $6 for the NARS and I'm loving it!
I can really tell the difference because it leaves my lids feeling much smoother and I have even used it on my sister, who ALWAYS has issues with creasing, and it's actually worked on her.
I agree with Rikki about the Urban Decay. I don't really get very good results or feel anything when I put those on. I've given away all of the ones that I've received with palettes and such, because I just don't feel like they do anything.
I also love the MAC Paint Pots, but I don't know if they would count as a primer or just cream shadow. Either way, Painterly is a must-have in my collection and probably the one I'll reach for when I'm running to work and just want to even out my lids.
The ELF works ok, but if you can get your hands on the NYX HD one I'd recommend that much better.
