I have really frizzy and curly hair and I've heard that sulfate free shampoos do not cause damage like normal shampoos. The L'Oreal one isn't available in our country. Do you know any drugstore brands which have these? Thank you!
Desert Essence is 100% Vegan/Wheat & Gluten Free and has NO parabens, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, phthalates, artificial colors, silicones, EDTA, glycol, or petroleum based ingredients. The coconut shampoo and conditioner have done wonders for my dry/damaged hair
A few brands: Avalon Organics, Giovanni (salon-developed), Acure Organics (acureorganics.com; I don't have any experience with this brand). I'm pretty sure there are others out there.
I switch on and off between Bedhead products and Aveda products, both are sulfate free and both make my hair healthier and less frizzy. My hair isn't super curly but its naturally pretty wavy (like beachy waves) and when I was using random drugstore shampoos and conditioners it would turn into a giant frizzball. Now I can let my hair air dry and people ask me how long it takes me to curl in the morning. Haha.
I have used it's a 10 and really liked it but now my hair has started to look greasy if I sleep with it wet :(
I am trying Alba which I found at Target
I have noticed significant difference in how my hair feels after using a sulfate free shampoo. It doesn't feel brittle and dried out and I know that all the dirt and grime is gone. My favorite sulfate free shampoo is from Nutress Hair products. They have a line of products called 'Stop Break' including the sulfate free shampoo. Nutress products repair damage to my hair and protect it to prevent further damaging. The best part is the products are so affordable; less than $5 per bottle. Check them out!
I tried several sulfate-free shampoos, but most of them didn't leave my hair clean. A while back, I discovered washing my hair (at the scalp area...not the shaft) with baking soda and water and rinsing in a mixture of 1/3 conditioner and 2/3 cheap vodka. Believe it or not, that's tamed my curls, leaving them shiny and bouncy. My hair looks better than ever, and people always ask me what I do to make it so shiny. I straightened my hair for my profile pix...I guess I should include one with my curls sometime :)
