is anyone familiar with this product? i am studying cosmetology & recently bought it...i would love to use it on my hair...but the directions say to mix it with the pravana shine serum. is this absolutely necessary, or can i use just the silk degrees on it's own? i would love to be able to use it without buying additional product, but if i have to get it in order for the shine treatment to work, i will do so...let me know if you have any idea, thanks!

You do not HAVE to use Silk Degrees Demi-Permanent Shine Treatment in conjunction with the Shine Serum. There are an array of other uses for Silk Degrees Demi-Permanent Shine Treatment including using it on its own after receiving a color treatment as a color glaze or glass to refresh your color. It can also be used to create pastel shades with the Pravana ChromaSilk VIVIDS line by mixing in Silk Degrees Shine Treatment with the VIVIDS shade of your choice until the pastel shade is acheived. Silk Degrees Shine Treatment can also be used as a weekly deep conditioner.
