Definitely add layers if your hair is curly! Otherwise your hair will be bottom heavy. Layers will balance you out and give your hair shape! ;)

When I had perms, I did layers according to my face shape and I liked the volume but I guess it would vary on your preference, length, and thickness of hair and curls (I have straight and fine hair naturally so I ha done layers with medium size curls)
