Hey guys! I've been on the Acne medication "Accutane" for about one month and my lips are extremely dry! My doctor warned me about this, but I didnt think it would be this bad 😩 I constantly have to apply aquaphor on my lips throughout the day or my lips will get extremely dry.
I'm going to prom this saturday, and I would love to wear lipstick. Does anyone know a way I can wear lipstick without my lips looking cracked and dry? Also is it better for me to use liquid foundation or powder while on this medication and should I moisturize before putting make up on? Oh and if anyone who has used accutane could share some tips with me, that'd be amazing! Thanks so much! 💖

I had the same problem when I was on it, personally I used liquid foundation as it didn't cling to dry parts on the skin, and I exfoliated my lips with sugar and honey but really gently! YES always moisturise, use a light weight one under your makeup so it won't slip and slide when your dancing, also you could use a primer and a setting spray? Hope this helps and enjoy your prom!

And use a lipstick but wear gloss over to moisturise a bit more and keep lip balm and gloss with you at all times :)

I had the same problem while on accutane! Make sure you moisturize before going to bed and before applying make up so your skin doesn't dry and flake! For your lips you can wear lipstick but I would take Chapstick just in case your lips start to dry out. Keep your lips moisturized at all times or the sides of your mouth will start to crack and leave nasty cold sores! Good luck and enjoy your prom! :)

I did that medicine to. nothing works for it. just for one evening you can use chapstick with your lipstick combination.

Oh you should try Baby Lips! Its a chapstick and lipstick combo and it comes in about 10 colors.
