DIY toner without apple cider vinegar?

I need a DIY toner that doesn't involve apple cider vinegar. I've looked all over YouTube and haven't found one yet. Help!!

How to rose water toner:
things you'll need:
a tall pan
a few ounces of water
a glass bowl
and roses.

turn you burner onto medium, put your bowl in the middle of the pan and have your roses surrounding the bowl, put a few ounces of water (just until the roses are slightly soggy) and let the roses marinate in the water... you need the bowl because the bowl will keep the water and roses compact together... squeeze the roses in the water after 30 mins of simmering then just pour the water into a bottle and use a cotton pad to tone... hope this helped
