Using witch hazel minimizes pores and makes skin appear smoother with continuous use. Plus it's cheap which is also a plus ;)

Witch hazel is awesome, baking soda masks, It also helps to use rosehip or evening primrose to help with lines, scars, & evening out skin tone. I would also use a primer & HD setting powder & a setting spray. There is some good videos on Beautylish to help with the application of foundation.

Also make sure foundation brushes are clean and sanitized each use because that also makes a big difference in the application.
