If you're just starting go easy, go with the neutral colors such as Browns if you're trying to wear eyeshadow. I suggest you go with just mascara & a foundation sinse you're just starting out.

Neutral colors in everything ( things that flatter all skin tones ), liquid foundation in colors from fair-dark, disposable mascara lipgloss & mascara wands, sponge wedges, hand sanitizer, tweezers, a pallet or place to dispense your product, primers for eyes and face, eyeliner sharpener, etc.etc.and quality brushes are VERY important!

I suggest you go buy a bare minerals starter kit. It comes with makeup and brushes.
