I'm wearing a yellow floral print dress (see picture below), coral heels, and my hair parted down the middle with my bangs braided back.

I was thinking about doing amarixe's prom tutorial (http://youtu.be/mFGKugw6XKE), but am not sure if that'd be too much.

Should I go for a more soft look or something like what's in her video?

I think a pale gold on the lids would compliment the dress, neutral brown in the crease, coral toned blush to compliment the heels and sheer pink lip color.
