I did a look for class based on a beautiful cobalt blue eye and burgundy lip by Nars. This is my model braving some snowflakes for the photo. Would love any feedback! Sorry I don't have the inspiration photo up yet.

Cute

I like the cobalt with the red lip, you would think it's bold on bold but it looks classic and sheek.

@Jacqueline its actually inspired by one of the looks in his second book. I wanted to make my version mpre wearable for the model by not blending the eye shadow up to the brow.

I just love Nars! He understands colours and can makes the people in his 2nd book (not professional models) look like they ready to step on the runway.

@jacqueline I love your feedback!! I greatly appreciate constructive criticism because thats only way we learn! Makeup, to me, is like an art and a science. You are always learning! Experimenting with techniques and colours is both fun and necessary. I love drawing on inspiration from artists (such as Nars!) and trying to put my spin on it. There have been many times when I have looked at my work with hypercritical eye and often think "shit! I would do it soo differently next time!" When that happens I NEED to get the perspective from others to learn and grow. Long story short - I am just getting started in makeup and your insightful comments are welcomed! I actually look fwd to reading and I've learned a lot from you already. Thank you!

@Jacqueline Thank you so much!! I really like the tip on picking up the subtleties of the artist's work that really make each application unique. It really is like painting. Btw - you're working is absoluyely beautiful!
