This is what works best for me
I used conditioner when I shave my legs, yes conditioner for your hair, I use that on my legs and it makes then soft and its easier to shave

Do you use shaving cream?

I do! But I also have this common skin problem where I get these little bumps for no reason (honestly passed down with family) but I really hate using shaving cream it makes it worse. I heard that you can use lemon juice, sugar, and olive oil to shave with, does that sound okay to?

Use baby oil or Johnson's face and body wash, it's amazing and it prevents razor burn, also if you're going to shave often don't press too hard and use aloe Vera gel after if you feel or see irritation.

Before shaving soak your razor with some alcohol. Sometimes the bumps happen from bacteria on the razor.
Rinse your legs with warm water before applying the shaving cream. And rinse your legs with cold water when finished.

Kerosis pilaris. I have it on my thighs but not my calfs. So I don't shave my thighs. Not got much hair to shave lol. I would suggest waxing. To keep the kerosis pilaris under control use a heated thermo scrub. I use soap n glory and then moisturise with loccatine 100% shea butter. x

Use coconut oil!! It works wonders. And also use a men's razor, like the Gillette Fusion.

When I used to shave (I wax now) I used to have that same exact problem. what I found that worked a lot was to use conditioner, shave in the direction of the hair growth, apply another layer of conditioner, then go over them again in the opposite direction of hair growth. and after I was done I'd take a men's aftershave lotion. it helps a lot :) you'll just smell like a dude for a bit hahaha.

Glad to help :) The thermo scrub makes your skin really soft and the loccatine shea butter 100% takes the redness out. Only thing that has worked for me. Hope It works for you. x

I learned to always exfoliate before and after shaving. It works wonders and of course leaves you smooth.
