Suggestions For Prom Hair.

I think I'm going to get my hair done at the salon for my 8th grade dance. I was wondering if there's any suggestions? I was thinking having it down and curled. I also saw on Pinterest a hair style where it was half up half down and curled. I also have naturally straight hair and this is my dress.
