How to grow healthy beautiful hair?

Hello I just got haircut today to cut all my split ends. I want to grow my hair longer but it does take a while. I tend to have an oily scalp and I don't want to wash my scalp or else my hair will dry out really bad. What are some good shampoos for oily thick hair? what are some ways to keep it healthy so it could grow?
