Try some small bobbies, or clip the pieces under the braid?? :/

Make your hair a bit wet before you start braiding. maybe even a tiny bit of gel to. you will have more grip and it helps keeping the short hair to the longer ones. :)

No like it stays but once I'm done the from of my braid is a big nothin I want it to start all the way from the beginning
