No. To use splat hair colors you would need to bleach it first. Otherwise, the color won't show.

I looked on the package and it said it came with some bleach, should I bleach it with a different product?

Since your hair is black you might need to bleach it twice because the regular bleach will make it a yellow color. To make sure the color is stripped, you might opt for bleaching twice.

I use splat on my dark hair. I normally bleach it once and then put the color on it. but I have tried using just the color by itself. it showed up but not as bright.

I would not use splat! I did it and every time I washed my hair it came out and would go all jet my towel. And if it is the one that isn't permanent it actually is. I have purple stuck in my hair that was suppose to come out like 6 months ago.

Do a deep conditioning between bleachings and your hair quality should be fine.

The blue is fine but the bleach will FRY your hair... A mistake on my naturally black hair years ago.
