Has anyone ever left their hair curly all summer long without using heat tools? what are some good hair products you used and how much longer did your hair get? I haven't straightened my hair since mid March and I don't plan on straightening it until the beginning of August. some tips would really help.

Yess. use a dab of oil or cream on the ends to eliminate frizzy ends and messy buns are the best things ever.

Flexi rods can help sooo much. No heat but your hair gets curled. Perm rods can be nice to, but as they're so stiff it's less control and more uncomfortable of you happen to sleep in it.

Curlier* For co washing I use V05 kiwi and lime conditioner to clean the scalp, detangle with tresseme naturals silicone free conditioner and leave it in, splash cold water on the top with my cupped hands a couple times, spray ouidad refresher spray, and then scrunch in LA looks sport gel with a t-shirt. Hope my info helps if you have any more questions just ask 😊

I also really recommend the curly girl book by Lorraine Massey it is like the curly girl's bible! Haha I wrapped up my straightener and got my brush and threw it at the top of my closet. I never looked back 😊

One question Alexandra, doesn't your hair get like all greasy because youre only using conditioner? I always wondered that when I'm hearing about the cg method ^^

No Romie it doesn't it just keeps my hair moisturized, healthy, and as frizz free as possible. When I get build up I use an apple cider vinegar rinse 😊 you can also use a sulfate free shampoo if you want but conditioner is all my curls need.

I went curly girl about three weeks ago and have already seen a difference! Romie- as long as your making sure to massage the scalp well, you'll be removing dirt and grease while still staying moisturized. If you've never done it, it may take time to adjust but it's worth the change and cuts down on styling time!

I know what the curly girl method is and I'm finally switching over to it - well, with the cowashing and I don't use products with mineral oil or drying alcohol in it for the most part. Although I don't really use gel, Alexandra G. your hair is gorgeous! It's funny that you mention using V05 because I SWEAR by that stuff. It may be cheap but it definitely moisturizes my hair, has a great scent and it even defines my curls. I use the pomegranate one. Any who,Thank you everyone for the tips. They have helped a lot! And I think there should be a curly hair forum as well Romie :)
