A great way to build your portfolio is hooking up with photographers that are willing to do tfp. The best place to look is on cl under gigs, type in makeup. You'll get to practice and some pro pics : )

A second to Krystle C. Modelmayhem.com has a section for makeup artists and is another fantastic place to build your port! There are always trade for shoot happening and makeup artists are always always always a welcome sight! Just in case your cl gigs section is a dead as the one for my county!

You should build a portfolio with all pictures of yourself. anyone can put makeup on themselfs it takes a steady and and practice to do makeup on a client. and I agree you need to hook up with a photographer for better quatity pictures
