Don't use it alone, it can be really hard to see what's going on in a mirror and its highly likely that you could give yourself a chemical hair cut without help. as a cosmetologist I must say that if this is your first time doing one on your hair its best to see a pro.

When I did perm my hair, I never gotten my hair relaxed at a salon before, no one in my family has. But there is also a cultural difference in that. If you live in a home where no one has done a perm before on someone else or themselves, go see a pro so your don't hurt yourself or your hair.

I did it at home and it turned out great! I went to Sally's beauty and got the supplies there the ladies are super helpful if you don't know what to buy!:)

Just realized my first sentence is very jumbled. When I permed my hair it was always at home, I've never had it done in a salon and neither has anyone in my family.
