When doing a winged eyeliner is is best to use a pencil eyeliner, gel eyeliner, or liquid eyeliner?

Depends on your comfort. A felt tip liquid is supposed to be good for beginners, I use either liquid or gel.

I love gel I feel I have more control with it.

Felt tip liquid is easiest for me. I always just made a big mess with gel but I know a lot of people love it.

Erin What brand of gel liner do you use?

The maybelline gel liner, I think it's called studio liner? I know you can get it at Walmart, CVS, Target, Rite Aid, etc.

Gel or liquid for sure. If you're not as comfortable, draw your winged liner with a pencil then go over it with liquid. My favorite liquid liner is by NYC. My favorite gel liners are by Ruby Kisses, Wet n Wild & Sedona Lace.

I personally use a felt tip liner, I find them really quick and easy to apply :) however gel liners also work really well too I prefer to use them when I have a little more time to apply my makeup :)

I prefer gel, but it takes a LOT of practice to get perfect!

Definitely liquid or gel. Pencils are better for smokey looks and smudging. I would use a liquid with a felt tip if you're just learning to do a winged look. Gel takes more practice.

Yes it definitely depends on the person. I am not good at all with a pencil. However, gel liner with a synthetic flat brush works perfect for me.

Gel or liquid. The easiest way for me is gel with a bent line brush 😊
