So I made a video and edited it to have music in the background. I uploaded it (on private) and acknowledged something lol and now next to my video says acknowledged third party content. What's does that mean? is that bad?

From my understanding, it means that YouTube recognizes that the music in the video is not yours, therefore they can put ads on your video. So not bad, really. Unless I'm wrong about what it means :P

All you need to do is put the name of the band and the name of the song in the description part of the video so if some Youtube staff member comes along they won't flag you. In general you can't use 30 seconds of more of a song without putting it in the description bar. Even when I do 10 seconds or less of one I add it to the list of other stuff in the description. example- "I sound like a whiny girl" by Justin Bieber.
