Lately everywhere I look I kept seeing these magical spoons to apply makeup. Curiosity got the best of me and I found that they are actually brushes! I've been seeing some amazing tutorials on these Artis Makeup Brushes! So Beautylishers, has anybody given these a go? Any opinions?!

I never tried them but I've watched a lot of youtubers talk about the foundation brush. they say it barely absorbs any product and a little goes a long way, but I heard it can also br a bit annoying to use lol.

I've heard the same thing Shauna. That they use very little product. A lot of Youtubers also rave about how flawless the application looks! I went onto the page and considered buying a set to to give them a go but for the price, I don't want to be disappointed. But I loooove that they're cruelty free!

I would really look at many reviews, because from what I've been seeing the handle is pretty flimsy for the price. also I would nuch rather spend money on quality brushes but if its something youre willing to try, go for it.

I actually was given a set of these! Mine have different handles, and there are only six in my set, but same brand.

I happen to like them, the foundation brush is super dense and absorbs basically nothing, which is nice because I feel like I'm not wasting product, and the eyeliner brush is amazing! It's really easy to work with, the biggest problem is dipping it into gel liner, but it works fabulously with eyeshadow as well.

I'm not as big of a fan of the eyeshadow brushes, not that they're bad just that I have an addiction to Hakuhodo brushes and tend to use those instead =)

They're actually pretty good! I'd say they're better than every non-Japanese brush that I've tried.

Wow Miss Jacqueline, that was so informative! Thank you! I was definitely thrown off when I first saw them as well! I am really leaning towards purchasing a set or at least one of the Fluenta Ovals you just described to me to give them a shot. Granted it will probably take me some time and practice to get the hang of it, but I definitely want to give them a go!
Thank you beautylishers!!

I bought the Oval4 together with my Kevyn Aucoin SSE (sensual skin enhancer) and I don't regret it one bit. I find the Oval4 size perfect for the under eye area. Granted the SSE formula is not the easiest one to work with, the brush does all the hard work for you and gives a flawless concealer application. I had a chance to try them all, and the ones I would definitely recommend are the Oval8 for foundation, the Oval6 for blush/highlight/contour and the Oval4 for concealer. I wish they had a set with those 3 brushes.
I'd say it's not that difficult adjusting to these handles (at least not for the face brushes) and they come in handy when you are shortsighted and you need to stand real close to the mirror 🤓
Thanks Jacqueline for your great knowledge!! I wanted to ask you, in your opinion, is it worth buying their own cleaning system, or could I easily do with what I already have? Do you have any other suggestions as to how to care for them properly?
