Primer for dry skin?!

Okay so I'm almost out of my primer and I need a new one that is amazing for dryness! I don't have a price point. Here is what I have used but looking for something better:

Becca: This is what I'm currently using; makes my skin glow and look amazing but its not so great as a primer. After a couple of hours it makes my foundation look cracked or cakey.

Smashbox: every single one, including the new water primer or whatever it's called.

Too Faced Hangover: Again it didn't work good as a primer, more like a moisturizer

Embryolisse: AMAZING but, caused the worst breakout and rash I have ever had. It was awful but I'm allergic to it I guess, I was so sad because it made my makeup look great.

Hourglass: Amazing but it breaks me out too

Bare Minerals Prime Time: Nice but I want something that wows me like Hourglass and Embryolisse did until they broke me out.

Others I have tried: L'Oreal Magic Lumi (really nice; but still doesn't make my makeup last all day), Tarte, Benefit Porefessionals, Makeup Forever Rimmel Fix and Perfect, Maybelline Baby Skin, Nyx, Elf, and I'm sure something else that I'm forgetting...

One more thing, my moisturizer is working great so thats not my problem. I just need something that made my foundations look great like Hourglass and Embryolisse did. I've been considering Laura Mercier, Perfkt, and Laura Gellar... Thank you!!

I would check out the MUFE hydrating primer or Laura Mercier. Also have you considered adding a beauty oil to your foundation to make your skin look less dry and cracked?

I'm really enjoying the MUFE hydrating primer.

Thank you... I've already tried the Makeup Forever Primers (the hydrating and a couple of the other ones) but they were horrible for me. Thank you though! I'm using and have used several oils, I've finally found moisturizers that help with the dryness and it has helped make my makeup look a lot better, but I just need something that hourglass and embryolisse gave me. I'll probably end up with Laura Merciers. Thanks again, ladies!

I love Embryolisse but it causes me clogged pores as well. I decided to buy Paula's Choice Moisture Mask and it has replaced my Embroylisse.. It has so many skin goodies and leaves my skin so soft and plump and supple it's a dream. You can use it as a mask (in my case I leave it on when I'm doing make up.)
Other than that I use the Mac strobe cream which isn't oily at all. Are you interested in a primer that allows your foundation to last longer or something to hydrate your skin with that acts a bit as a sticky base? Serums work well since they tend to use the same sticky base as a primer.

The most moisturizing primer I have ever used is by Jane Iredale, it uses grapefruit and plumps the skin. It smells amazing and works great as a primer. I would highly recommend! However I have only used it with the Jane Iredale foundation though so I'm not sure how it works with other foundations

@Kitty, I think I want something more hydrating I guess. I want my foundation to last too, but I guess I want something that is going to make my skin look glowy too, if possible. I just want it to look like I'm not wearing makeup or very little like it looks with the hourglass and Embryolisse. I have never tried any thing from Paula's Choice but I have been wanting too! I'll have to give that a try, thank you.

@Stacie, thanks I'll have to do some research on that, I've never heard of it. But I'm always willing to try out new products! Thanks

Have you tried just spot concealing? I liken it for those days that I want coverage but don't want to wear a base.

Yes, thats what I've actually been doing for the last 4ish years... I only wear foundation occasionally and most days I just wear mineral powders and some concealer, or just concealer alone.

But I would still like to have a good primer for when I do wear foundation. I guess I'll just have to put up with the breakouts and use hourglass because it gives me a flawless but very natural finish. But, there is no way I'll ever put Embryolisse on again because it not only caused pimples but welps and my entire was red😞

Thanks Sydney! I always forget about Marc Jacobs products... I never thought about mixing two together but thats a good idea. I think I'll definitely be trying Laura's though since I've basically tried everything else it seems like.
