Red lipstick for color correcting?

I have a VERY dark vein right under my eye and concealer won't even begin to hide it. At the moment, I don't own any color correcting products, so I was wondering if I red lipstick would really work and is okay to use until I can get s corrector? Also, are there any drug store color correctors??

The NYX color correctors are pretty good Emily and they aren't pricey at all

I've been using the LA Girl color correctors and love them. Becca just came out with some too. I've read about the red lipstick working but I've been too scared to try it!

Nikol, I've seen so much hype about it on YouTube/Pinterest but I've been too afraid to try as well!! I will look into those correctors as well(:

Emily...I don't want to ruin a beauty blender! They make it look so easy, but I know you have to pick the right color for your skin. Ulta I think carries the NYX ones!

Use orange. NYX has a pot concealer in an orange color. It's a bold orange and use it to correct by mixing with your normal concealer to get a peachy color and apply thinly then put on your regular concealer to cover up any excess peach/orange tones

I'll definitely be looking into some NYX products!! I've been watching tutorials of them being used and the difference is noticeable for sure!! I'm excited to try. This vein has been driving me nuts for so long

Hey Emily also on ig not sure if you have it but there's a girl on there I follow who does amazing makeup she has a video which is a screen shot of the one below on how she does with the green NYX HD concealer I'm sure there's tones of videos but since I follow her and just ran into it I thought I'd let you know her ig is @Dlishhhhh and also another amazing person on ig is beautybyrosita on YouTube she's amazing! hope it helps ❤️

Don't use red lipstick to color correct it isn't safe. use proper color correctors
