Bleaching roots, help

I did bleach my "roots" becuase I'm going to color them purple/light purple, but I have this golden/brown between the blonde and the black. Is there anyway to remove the golden color to a more cooler one? Or lighten it?

You can tone it. But I would suggest going to a professional.

It happens when you bring up really dark to light like that. You should use a toner to tone down the brass color!

Thats not true. You can still tone the orange color.
